Just a picture I did up for me, started it up yesterday evening and finished it tonight. I never used to like the sun... but now I've found that (when it's not hot and miserable), it can really lift my mood. Must be that Vitamin D I've been deprived of ;)

These past few days I've been coming home from my summer classes and settling down in a hammock in the back yard to read in the sun. It's very relaxing! Now if only the sun would tone it down a bit and bring back the comfortable temperatures :/

Anyway... I'm pretty happy with this picture. I really wanted an excuse to draw that tank-top I've been wearing (even though it's out of style and a mens style one, I like it!). Here's a version with just a blank shirt: [link]
I'm also trying to branch out from my usual neutral colors into more vivid ones, so here's my first real go I guess =P Here's hoping to more interesting color schemes in the future!

oooohhh, Sam, this is gorgeous! It's quite a color-change for what you usualy work with, and I must say that the late sun colors look marvelous with Samyena! I've foudn that shades of gold work wonders with browns, and this is no exeeption. She seems so happy here, glowing even. I also love the way you drew her smile, she looks so happy and relaxed.

Thanks, Sam! :) I'm glad you could tell it was "late" sunlight, too :D That's exactly what it's supposed to be xD It felt refreshing to break away from the browns/grays/blues I'm so prone to using... This is like.. the pure embodiment of my happiness, haha. I'm really happy with how her muzzle turned out, too :) Thanks so much for your kind comment! :heart:

I gotta say I love EVERYTHING about this picture! The warm colors of the BG and how they melt into the character. The pose and how loose and happy it is, but still fitting. And of course the characters ears, I always love those nice round ears! The fluffy neck really catches my attention in this picture more than usual. And those toes! I LOVE those toes for no reason at all!

Who cares if clothes are out of style!? I think all of my clothes are out of style, but I still wear them proudly!

Buuu, thanks, Zhentz! I reffed the pose form [link], they have a huuuuge selection that really helps when you're at a loss for poses! And I'm really happy with the way Samyena turned out, too :P I modeled her after an actual hyena photo this time, so I think she came out looking a tad more 'natural' then the way I usually draw her, which is good! Trying different things is fun :P

And that's the way to be! Who cares if other people give you funny looks? If you've got some special attachment to the garb, or just flat-out like it, then you shouldn't hesitate to wear it =P
